چکیده

This article comes out of many discussions I have had lately with Kansans as well as other colleagues around the country about the applicability of implementing the evidence-based practice of supported employment in rural and frontier areas. There are special challenges in rural areas, but so are there special challenges in urban areas. However, there appears to be some misconceptions regarding the ability to successfully implement the practice of supported employment in rural areas. It is possible to implement good fidelity to evidencebased practice in rural/frontier areas. And, in most cases rural programs have seen success in increasing competitive employment outcomes of the people they serve.

Maturational Factors Modulate Transcription Factors CCAAT/Enhancer-Binding Proteins , , , and Peroxisome Proliferator–Activated Receptor- in Fetal Rat Lung Epithelial Cells

Previous investigations have evidenced the importance of CCAAT/enhancer-binding proteins (C/EBPs) and peroxisome proliferator–activated receptor (PPAR) for lung development, especially for alveolar type II cells (ATII). This prompted us to explore whether ATII maturation-promoting mediators controlled their expression in isolated ATII. In whole rat lung, C/EBP , , , and PPAR mRNAs increased 3–5...

LYMPHOID NEOPLASIA C/EBP regulates transcription factors critical for proliferation and survival of multiple myeloma cells

CCAAT/enhancer-bindingprotein (C/EBP ), also known as nuclear factor–interleukin-6 (NF-IL6), is a transcription factor that plays an important role in the regulation of growth and differentiation of myeloid and lymphoid cells. Mice deficient in C/EBP show impaired generation of B lymphocytes. We show that C/EBP regulates transcription factors critical for proliferation and survival in multiple ...
